“What do you think of the terrorist attack in Paris and the ‘Charlie’ drawing record breaking historic crowds and several world leaders in to the streets of Paris, to defy terrorism?
In my view, at any time in the history of the world, good peace loving human beings have always outnumbered the bad ones. There have been few times when tyrants, dictators & terrorists seemed to have gained an upper hand and at such times it appears that the world is full of such bad ones, but that has never been true. Because unlike peace, violence is against the human nature. It’s just that negative becomes ‘NEWS’ faster and gains the spot light. In the media industry world wide, it is a well known fact that ‘negative’ sells. That is why 80% of News reported is ‘negative’.
While strictly condemning the terrorist attacks anywhere in the world, be it Paris, India, USA, or any part of the world, I wish to reiterate that they can NEVER win in the long run. Simply because the good peace loving human beings have always out numbered the bad ones.
Mahatma Gandhi said; “Eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind”. I therefore also condemn the state sponsored violence and unnecessary wars declared by powerful countries. Such acts are nothing short of terrorism as well, as these give rise to the affected people turning in to terrorists; whether in the name of patriotism or in the name of religion. This then turns in to a vicious cycle that only ends up affecting the good peace loving people like you & me.
Violence & terror of every kind must be condemned, whether it originates from the state actors or from non-state actors. ”
